Sommaire
Founded in 1958, Sanlorenzo, the go-to shipyard for yachts and superyachts, has opened a new chapter in the yachting sector with the SP110, a technological masterpiece whose interior design has been entrusted to the architect and designer considered as its “ideal interpreter”, Piero Lissoni. With him, the shipyard was the first to develop the concept of horizontally open space, from stern to bow. With the SP110, it adds a sense of verticality. An elegant minimalism in harmony with the philosophy of its design presides over the layout and mixes contemporary furniture from top designers, custom-made pieces and antique objects. In the lower deck lounges, near the bar, the Eames Lounge Chair Santos Palisander is accompanied by a Cassina coffee table and an Oluce light fitting. A few steps lead up to one of the lounges where B&B Italia‘s Dock sofas are combined with Ile Table, a side table by Living Divani, a small table with a white marble top and a 523 Meribel stool in canaletto walnut by Cassina.
Elegant minimalism
For this first open coupé in the Smart Performance range, the Zuccon International Project studio has developed new forms, carefully-studied proportions, aerodynamic lines and even livery that closely echo those found in sports yachts. It appeals to both speed lovers and those who are more concerned with their comfort. The efficient hull with a width of 8 metres and a total length of 33 metres maintains performance and a sense of well-being even in rough seas as it travels around the Mediterranean and, with its limited draft and deck area, around Florida. It also offers maximum surface area and its atmosphere is that of a real home. These particularly generous spaces are designed to allow socialising and moments of intimacy. A matte red lacquered Porro Ferro table is surrounded by white Panton Classic chairs and the chrome-framed Wire Chair from Vitra next to the Toio lighting fixtures from Flos. In the living room, soft leather LC3s by Cassina sit alongside Formiche coffee tables by Lissoni for B&B Italia.
Light and airy
As lightness was the watchword when it came to the construction, different “weight saving” solutions have been optimised, such as the laminated glass used for the large glass surfaces that cover 80% of the ship. The same priority determined the decoration of the four cabins, especially the owner’s cabin, with wooden floors and slatted ceilings that conceal the technical aspects. In the bathroom, lava stone, which is less heavy, was used instead of marble. Calm and serene, and decorated in very soft tones, this room was treated to an Alpi Xilo flamed white veneer that covers the bedside tables as well as the contour of the bed and the bay windows, while opting for a ribbed effect for the cupboard fronts and a smoother one for the custom-made furniture in the shower room. As in many places, the large mirrors give the illusion that the volumes are bigger than they actually are.
Ecological
The other key element around which the design revolves is sustainability. The coupé is equipped with an energy recovery system that uses high efficiency monocrystalline solar panels accompanied by a set of lithium batteries that allow the hospitality functions to be maintained for the 8 guests and 5 crew members for a few hours without having to resort to the use of generators. The roof has been specially designed to accommodate the panels without disrupting the profile of the boat. On the outside, this two-deck yacht is composed of large amenity areas. On the upper level, the spacious sundeck, together with the wheelhouse, overlooks the bow, while the lounges are visible from the aft deck, thus creating an exceptional sense of synergy between interior and exterior. The forward area is equipped with a dining area and sunbathing area that makes every anchorage an irresistible moment not to be missed.
