Ampla House: state of the art coworking with international allure
The stylish coworking space Ampla House is located in a patrician house built in 1886 on the Coupure in Ghent. William Vanmoerkerke, the founder, lived in New York for many years and took his cues from exclusive member clubs such as Soho House, where he regularly worked as an independent consultant. The result? A state of the art office infrastructure where one can work, network and eat in a beautiful setting.
Ostend architects Bram Steelandt and Eli Declerq transformed the building into the unparalleled coworking space of today. Old floors were replaced, mezzanines with toilets were placed and an elevator was installed. This created a shared workspace with more than 120 workstations, inspiring and with international allure but at the same time very workable.
On the first floor is a lunch bar, coffee zone and work lounge. Higher up in the building are the more secluded workplaces. For the interior Vanmoerkerke worked together with interior architect Valerie Vanermen. She dressed the building with spacious desks and wooden tables accompanied by custom-made design chairs by the renowned Belgian furniture studio Heerenhuis Manufacteer.
Ampla House attracts an exceptional mix of entrepreneurs and professionals. In addition to flex desks for individuals, companies can also rent private offices or meeting rooms there.

Fosbury & Sons: eclectic Antwerp coworking
The very first Fosbury & Sons coworking space ‘Harmony’ is located in the WATT tower in Antwerp. This modernist cathedral, designed by Léon Stynen in 1958, was stripped down to its rough concrete structure and resurrected with pure materials like wood, steel, glass, textiles and lush greenery. The interior is by Going East and can best be described as an eclectic mix between old and new. Upon walking in, Carlo Scarpa’s enormous chandelier immediately draws attention. The six-foot-high windows bring a lot of light into the cozy lobby. The space is decorated with art in collaboration with various Antwerp galleries and with the private collection of Serge Hannecart ranging from works by Damien Hirst to vintage furniture.
Entrepreneurs, digital nomads and both small and large companies gather here, spread over 400 workstations that take up no less than 5,600 square meters. Large work tables, cozy sitting areas and the open or closed workstations make Fosbury & Sons an inspiring (part-time) workplace.

The Library: coworking in Scandinavian style
With its beautiful Scandinavian-style interior, The Library is undoubtedly the shared workspace of choice for expats. Nestled in the heart of the European quarter, a stone’s throw from the European Commission and on the edge of the green Ambiorix Square, this coworking is a haven for international profiles from a variety of sectors.
Danish entrepreneur Anne-Sofie Rehfeld decorated the office spaces according to the Hygge principle, creating a warm shared workspace where the interior enhances the feeling of well-being and connectedness. The premises are located in a beautiful Art Deco house next to Gustave Strauwen’s Saint-Cyr House with lots of light. Natural materials such as wood and wool were mainly used for the interior design. White walls are interspersed with blue accent colors. Carefully selected furniture, hand-tufted rugs and pastel interior objects complete the look.
The interior nurtures the sense of community that is central to The Library. Indeed, members are encouraged to enjoy their membership both outside and inside office hours. In addition to great networking, the coworking space offers a wide range of free education and regularly hosts parties, cocktails and networking events.
