On Fifth Avenue, nestled atop a historic building dating from 1927, CORE: boasts a panoramic view over Manhattan’s neighbourhoods, which members can enjoy from the wide terraces adorned with Chi Wing Lo’s iconic Gea tables and chairs. The Giorgetti style puts its own glossy yet elegant stamp on this new address that is already a hit with New Yorkers. Its impeccable designs and exceptional quality further enhance the unique experience offered by this space dedicated to luxury hospitality. Founded in 2005 by Jennie and Dangene Enterprise, CORE: redefines the standards of private clubs. This visionary concept brings together culture, gastronomy, architecture, arts, sports, well-being and aesthetics under one roof, becoming a privileged meeting place for an exclusive and inclusive international community in search of excellence and conviviality. This prestigious club not only offers sumptuous suites, but also a wellness centre with gym, as well as a theatre and gallery dedicated to hosting screenings, conferences and artistic performances. CORE: has thus succeeded its challenge of standing head and shoulders above the crowds as the ultimate venue for cultural entertainment, attracting a varied and eclectic clientele.
Giorgetti blends craftsmanship and elegant design in the plush decor of CORE:.
For this major new project, architect team Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli have drawn on their collaboration with Giorgetti, a timeless furniture maker whose sound taste has proven its worth time and again. Carefully selected and arranged, the Giorgetti creations, most of them designed by M2Atelier, come together harmoniously to furnish the interiors of the 5,550 square metre club. From the restaurant to the American speakeasy bar, the small Elsa armchair, with its play of solids and voids evoking forces in balance, is a perfect illustration of the Italian brand’s combination of sobriety and sophistication. “Giorgetti has a knack for combining the best woodworking traditions with the most modern production techniques. By combining the mastery of craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and innovative materials, an approach that the company has practised for over 126 years, with our own distinctive style, we have created product lines that perfectly interpret the contemporary luxury of the Giorgetti lifestyle,” explain the founders of M2Atelier.
M2Atelier is an international multidisciplinary architecture and design studio based in Milan, founded by architects Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli. Drawing on their complementary experience, they have surrounded themselves with a team of talented architects and designers. Their unwavering commitment and quest for perfection in terms of space planning, proportions, materials and attention to detail undeniably qualifies them for this major undertaking in the high-end hospitality sector. The result fully reflects their talent, making CORE: shine bright as a true gem in the field of contemporary design. The lines are pared-down, giving the space a certain ordered geometry. The furniture, with its streamlined, carefully crafted shapes, reveals a clear sense of functionality while maintaining a high level of comfort. The colour palette, chosen to be neutral and elegant, is woken up by discreet touches of brighter hues, inspiring the mood of the surroundings. Finally, to preserve the convivial, interactive spirit that embodies the very essence of the private club, the interiors have been designed to encourage exchanges, as is the case with the restaurant’s generous corner sofas, which are ideally shaped for long-drawn out conversations. The M2Atelier studio and its architects will also be responsible for the creative direction of the new establishments that are in the pipeline, in San Francisco and Milan. Naturally, Giorgetti will continue to feature at the heart of their projects.
